Dungeoneering tokens are a reward from the Dungeoneering skill and are used to purchase rewards from the Rewards trader. They can also be used to purchase Dungeoneering experience, on a 1:1 ratio. Tokens are received for completing a dungeon; no tokens are earned if the dungeon is left early. The amount of tokens a player receives is dependent on the amount of experience gained for completing a floor, in a 10:1 ratio of experience to tokens rounded down. An example being if a player received 459 experience, they would get 45 Dungeoneering tokens. Bonus experience does not affect token gain.
Tokens can also be obtained in ways other than completing dungeons. Defeating the bosses and mini bosses in elite dungeons such as the Temple of Aminishi will reward the player with 5,000 tokens each.
Dungeoneering rewards are purchased with tokens from the rewards trader in the camp south of Daemonheim or from Wythien south of the Gorajo resource dungeon in the Meilyr district of Prifddinas. The tokens will have been transferred to him via the smuggler, so the player only needs to visit the reward trader to start cashing in their winnings. Players who wish to recover traded rewards lost through alchemy, destruction or other means must pay Dungeoneering tokens in full — players cannot receive the same reward for free. All of the rewards are untradeable.
On 21 April 2010, an update radically lowered the prices of all rewards.
Dungeoneering tokens (10) is a bag of 10 dungeoneering tokens that could have been pickpocketed from Meilyr workers in Prifddinas.
Marmaros Thokson is a Fremennik warrior and the younger brother of the self-proclaimed master of Dungeoneering, Thok. He is found near the castle above Daemonheim, located south-west of the Fremennik banker and Dungeoneering tutor, and serves as a Rewards trader, trading Dungeoneering tokens for rewards, such as Chaotic equipment. He also offers to repair the degradable equipment he sells, which can be paid for with either coins or a combination of coins and tokens.
His knowledge of Daemonheim is shown throughout a series of letters written to Thok and his younger sister, Bryll. The letters were a method to keep his sanity while traversing the endless and nightmarish floors of Daemonheim, as well as hopefully record the progress their journey had accomplished for future study.
Meilyr workers are workers that roam around the Meilyr clan district of Prifddinas. They can be pickpocketed with level 98 Thieving (or level 94 Thieving with the use of an Abyssal lurker with Abyssal stealth scroll), continuing the pickpocket action without need for reclicking until you are caught. Each successful pickpocket rewards 170 experience or 204 experience if the Voice of Seren is in effect, and after you have been caught three times you will not be able to pickpocket them anymore for 20 minutes. During this time, their pickpocket option will disappear, and a red circle will appear above their heads.
After being caught once the player will receive the message: «You have raised Clan Meilyr suspicions. 1 out of 3 strikes.»
After being caught for a second time, the player will receive the message: «Clan Meilyr are starting to notice your sneaky ways.

I am currently trying to get myself a charming imp just for quality of life while slaying, but am finding it takes me forever to get tokens?
I am 85 CB/50 dungeoneering. I do my sinkholes and just solo dungeoneering.
Is there a faster way!? This is going to take a very long time if not haha.
Do Token Farming.
It even works with your stats and at your level.
Here’s a guide on this.
I think he means 85 combat, not combat stats. In which case he will get destroyed.
Do you just do solo dungeoneering? You can get a lot more experience (and therefore tokens) in larger groups.
What’s your in-game name? I probably won’t have a chance today, but I can log in on my main and my alt accounts at the same time, and add a party enhancer. This will simulate a party of 4 people, giving substantially more XP per floor.
I hate dungeoneering with a passion, but that permanent gold accumulator is too good to overlook.
What are the best ways of getting dungeoneering tokens aside from actually dungeoneering, and aside from elite dungeons? And how many tokens/hr is it?
I hear thieving meilyr can bring it some but I’m not sure if the rates are good.
wait for the events that jagex runs and get small prize bags and you will get tons of dg tokens
You could try the first floor of elite dungeon, if you get lucky you could get a handful of minibosses (normal mode not story).
However, since they want to give them value again, not sure if those will pop up soon.
Meilyr thieving has a cooldown once caught. Another way is killing seekers, which drop them per 100 frequently.
Level 52 Dugneoneering, have been recently just grinding and entering prestige and so on, is there a faster way at my level? looking to obtain 100-200k tokens as I’m still deciding which is more worth it in the end, a charming imp or a chaotic rapier. I’m guessing the charming imp because at a certain point the rapier is less efficient and the charming imp will always be in your favor.
I’m kinda new to dungeoneering and don’t know a lot about it yet, what is ed1?
This of course is opinion but I think you are correct.
The Charming imp is way more useful.
That being said, the way that dungeoneering works is that eventually you will be getting plenty of tokens. At level 52 I seem to remember it being frustrating thinking about how long it was going to take before I got my choatic (and this is when chaotics were the best of the best).
So, I’m going to preface this with the fact that I hate Dungeoneering. I just find it insufferably boring and of little use to me besides the token rewards. However, I’ve started to do a lot of Slayer to gear myself up to get into serious PvM, and now I find myself wanting a Charming Imp, especially for stuff like Waterfiends and Hellhounds, which are some of my favorite tasks, because I need to train Summoning. I just bought Wasteless Herblore, so I’m on nothing right now.
Hello everyone! I have 104k tokens and I dont know what to buy first. I was thinking charming imp but I dont really know.
Bonecrusher and Demon horn necklace, Charming imp, or Scrolls (Scroll of proficiency, Scroll of dexterity, etc).
